Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday (June 6, 2025) that the Sindoor operation showed the power of Atmanirbhar Bharat (independent India) and undertook that India would become one of the world’s best defense exporters.
“Today the world recognizes the Indian defensive ecosystem,” Modi said in his speech in Udhampur’s Katra.
Mr. Modi said India has appeared as a leading exporter of defense in the last decade and “another goal is to place India among the best defense exporters in the world”. “The faster India moves to this goal, the more job opportunities will be generated nationwide, which will benefit millions,” he said.
“Choose products made in India”
The Prime Minister said that, like the nation, honored his armed forces on the border, he must also adhere to the pride of “Made in India” on the market, ensuring that the Indian force reflects in defense and trade.
He said that the recent military success was caused by the confidence of the armed forces in “make in india”. “Every Indian must now imitate their obligation. The initiative for the production of missions announced in this year’s budget has been aimed at accelerating the Indian manufacturing sector,” he said.
He called on young innovators and entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir to join this mission. “India needs its modern thinking, innovation, ideas and skills to increase national security and economic growth,” he added.
Modi, which called on every Indian to commit to prioritizing products produced in India, said that this goods are a real reflection of hard work and the determination of fellow citizens. “The selection of products produced in the Indian is the real service of the nation, strengthening the economy and the authorization of workers,” he added.
