The current state of Indian football may not be ideal, with uncertainty surrounding the future of the best league flight, but one young star has already left fans. Mohammed Aimen, the product of the Kerala Blasters Academy, lit up the AFC U23 Asian Cup with a Yoga Bonito style and recorded a rebellion against Brunei, which fans will remember for years. Since then, his performance has received a challenge for the Indian team for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup qualification in Singapore.
Aimen’s intention was obvious from the bench against Brunei. The hopes for the qualification of India were outside their hands and the team needed a great victory. He tried two complex cuts from the left that failed, but never moved, and this endurance resulted in two iconic goals that will leave football fans who will leave the country with regard to the context of sport. Despite the strong individual performance, the novice star remains disappointed by the way the team could not get around the group phases that would stab for some time, but it is always proud of representing the country – whether it is youth or a higher level.
“It is always a proud moment to wear a national jersey. I also got two goals. I was so proud and happy, and even my family. The only sad part was that we did not qualify. It came to the difference.
His first goal against Brunei quickly went viral online. Aimen attributes his fearless style of Neymar, his football idol. “Even from a young age I have always tried to do a little show, go one-on-one, go in, go out, cross, shoot. He said they would defend deep and not close quickly, so I should go on social media.
While Brunei’s goals were spectacular, Aimn had previously scored similar strikes. “I think yes – I also scored one similar goal when I was in the reserve team in Bengalur. So both are good.”
The preparation for the tournament was intense and the coach’s motivation was constant. “Before the tournament, we had two friendships against Iran in Malaysia. Games,” he says.
Interestingly, Aimen’s journey to football began carelessly before most imagined. He and his twins Azhar initially played cricket more than football, while in Kochi, attracted to Ipl Craze. Stint at SH Football Academy put him on a journey to professional football. “From there we were selected at the Kerala BlaSters FC football school and from there it was U15, U18, reserves and finally the senior team,” he explains. Family support played a key role. “They always supported. In fact, it started from my father. We didn’t even say we wanted to join the academy. One day he said,” We’ll look at the match, “and then he told us we would join this academy. It was all his idea from the beginning.”
His constant development was essential and his constant procedure was essential, and in his development it was crucial when he was sent from Austo Czestochow, the leading Polish club, key for its growth. “It was a big difference. European football is on a different level – speed, equipment, everything. It helped a lot for me and my brother. Then we called for a senior team. We trained three weeks with the team – we remembered three weeks.
Looking at the next season, Indian Super League, Aimen focuses on consistent contribution to Blasters. “To score more goals, give more assists – INSHALLAH. As a wing, I have to do it. And of course some dribbling and demonstration.” While some coaches discourage Flair, he explains: “Most coaches do not like it much because there is a chance of losing the ball. But I still try to do it sometimes because I love it – I love Neymar.
Although this conversation was carried out before the senior team was announced, Aimen does not put on disproportionate pressure on the step. “I don’t put pressure on it. I just want to score the best on the pitch. If I score more goals and play well, he’ll call me. His ambition is clear:” Dribbler and shooter-it’s my style.
Even the Indian campaign for the Seniors of the Asian Asian Cup inspired him. “Yeah – we defeated Oman and finished third. It’s a big thing because before everyone criticized the team, they said they were bad. But no one sees hard work and hard training behind.
Now that the team call and fearless offensive style is confirmed, Mohammed Aimen already proves that India’s future can be clearer than many expect.
