
The annual exam-1 for SSLC students will be held from March 18 and a total of 9,02,889 students from 15,941 high schools across the state have registered for it.
Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit first language exams will be held on Wednesday at 2,871 examination centers from 10 am to 1:15 pm.
Like the previous year, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will web stream the examination process from all centers to prevent malpractice.
Strict police security will be maintained at all examination centers. All types of electronic devices, including mobile phones, smart watches, headphones, are prohibited in the centers. The use of mobile phones is prohibited for police officers and employees performing security and probation services. Basic cell phones without camera capability will only be allowed to be used by the head of the investigation center.
The KSEAB also instructed the students to follow the dress code prescribed by the educational institutions based on the directions of the Supreme Court. All the Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) of the state will provide free bus transport for students appearing for the examinations. They can travel free of charge on presentation of their identity card and admit card on the day of the exam.
