Former English cricket Andrew FlinToff revealed that he once refused to offer from WWE, which was addressed directly by former chairman Vince McMahon.
The legendary versatile, when he spoke on a cricket podcast, explained how this occasion occurred after leaving a professional cricket in 2010. Although briscially returned to Brisbane Heat in the 2014-15 Big Bash League.
Before his BBL Stint Flintoff, he said he started training with WWE and even discussed potential stories, including matches against Undertaker and Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.
“I was just hiding for a moment and I started to wonder:
Flintoff added that his initial motivation was to regain fitness and his childhood love for wrestling inspired him to persecute the WWE route.
“I wanted to adapt again but I needed motivation. As a child I loved wwe so I came up with this idea because I was doing my own league with the sky to fight Undertaker in Manchester. ”
“I wrote this treatment and introduced the idea of Sky, it began to collect momentum and the next minute that is passed to WWE. I was in contact with WWE, Vince McMahon!”
When the idea ran, Flintoff was transported to the WWE Academy in the United States for initial training, where he quickly realized the level of physical punishment.
“We are flying over the business class, we get into the car next morning and go to WWE’S ACADEMY, two massive units of all branded. We are sitting in the car and these things walk around me like 6 feet 8 inches.”
“My lady asked, will you be okay? I said,” Yeah, I’ll be fine. “I entered in – the first day nobody liked me, because it’s really competitive with the fact that 60 of us want a contract with WWE – then this English boy walked in.”
Despite his enthusiasm, things turned when he suffered injuries during intense workouts.
“So I’m going inside and doing warm up, then put me in the ring for three hours and just launched the ropes, I would come across someone and they threw me. The second day I went there I had my lashes and my lady said,” Are you fine? “I was painful and I thought something wasn’t here,” he recalled.
“I said this physiology,” I think I have a rear spasm, “so they are all like:
Flintoff also worked on his microphones, but eventually decided not to use the opportunity to be WWE for family reflections.
“The money was obscene, but we wanted to go back from Dubai,” he said.
“The children wanted to play cricket and did not want to go to America, so I just changed it to the box and instead I fought,” he added.
