Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha invites applications for 299 KGBV teaching posts

Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha has issued a notification inviting online applications from eligible female candidates for the recruitment of 299 teaching posts on contract basis in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across the state for the academic year 2026-2027.

Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao said the vacancies are scattered among the 352 KGBVs functioning in the state. Recruitment will not be started in East Godavari districts, Dr. BR Ambedkar Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur, he said.

According to the notification, the recruitment includes 16 Principal posts, 98 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts, 133 Contract Teacher (CRT) posts and 52 Physical Education Teacher (PET) posts. The appointments are purely temporary and valid for the academic year 2026-27 only.

Mr. Rao said the details of eligibility criteria, education, age limit, pay structure and other conditions were available on the official recruitment portal. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online from 27 May to 5 June 2026.
