With deep depression over Bengal’s intensified and running strong rainfall through Andhra Pradesh, the state government has set out on high readiness. Minister of Home Management and Disasters Taneti Vanitha conducted discussions with district collectors about readiness and ordered officials to ensure that people are not struggling to suffer any hardships.
The Minister said that the weather system is likely to be strengthened by August 18 (Monday) to a cyclone that will indicate very strong precipitation. “Collectors should set up checkpoints in all districts and, if necessary, SDR and NDRF teams will be deployed,” she ordered.
Key directives indicate that district officials must remain available at the field level, people in low -lying areas should be warned from time to time, fallen trees on the roads must be immediately cleaned, while residents must avoid hallmarking into rivers, streams and channels or fish and swimming. If necessary, the emergency lines of the Auxiliary Lines of the Disasters-112, 1070 and 1800-425-0101 administration should be contacted.
The tides and drains to Prakasam Parrage on the river Krishna reached 2.85 lakh Cusecs. Due to severe rainfall, the Minister warned that the first level of flood warnings could be exceeded on 18 August. People in the Krishna River basin were asked to remain vigilant.
Meanwhile, the Godavari River in Dowleswaam has seen a heavy tide of 4.07 Lakh Cusecs. “Under no circumstances, people should not try to cross flooded rivers, streams or channels. The inhabitants of the low -laid areas must have maximum caution,” the minister stressed.
The Office for the Catastrophe Adaster Andhra Pradesh (APSDMA) has issued a warning warning because the levels of floods in the Krishna and Godavari rivers continue to grow due to heavy rains. Commissioner APSDMA Prakhar Jain said that from 17:00 on Sunday stood the tide and drain to the Barrage prukage 2,87 Lakh Cusecs. He warned that the water levels were likely to affect the first warning warning of floods until 18 August (Monday) if the rain persists.
