Andhra Pradesh, the State Ministry of Social Welfare, ordered an integrated agency for tribal development (ITDA), Chintoor to appoint a native language spokesperson in selected government elementary schools for teaching in Koya in the Alluri Sitharam Raja district.
At least 15 native language speakers will be entrusted to 12 government elementary schools along the section of the Sabari and Godavari River.
In VR Puram Mandala, where River Sabari flows, six elementary schools will receive seven native language spokespersons. The other seven will be deployed in Yetapaka Mandal, where Godavari flows. One native speaker will be sent to the elementary school Vegithot in Chintoor Mandal.
Muria tribes who migrated from Chhattisgarh will also benefit from the initiative when they speak the language of Koya.
Recruitment
In communication, dated 18 July 2025, the relevant directors for mandala education, the project officer of Chintoor Itda ordered the project officer of the ITDA to hire speakers of origin from July 2025.
12 schools were chosen for the deployment of the native language by Vinayakpuram and Vegithot.
