Andr Pradesh’s government refuted the news on Friday that a new helicopter was purchased for the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naida and other VIPs, and called such a claim to mislead the public.
“There is no new purchase. Instead, another helicopter was rented because of the recurring technical problems with the earlier,” CMO officials said.
Until recently, the Bell Company helicopter was used to inspect the main minister. Often, however, the capture, including the official trips of Mr. Naida, evolved. The planned visit to the Minister of the Union Piyush Goyal from Tirupati to the port of Krishnapatnam had to be canceled due to a helicopter failure, the officials recalled.
Security agencies marked these concerns after repeated delay and technical defects and recommended compensation, the officials added.
As a result, the government rented the advanced Airbus H160 helicopter, stated officials, adding that the new helicopter offered increased safety, reliability and ability to cover over long distances directly from Amaravati to districts such as SRICACULM or Chittoor, reducing the need for connecting flights.
It was also expected that the arrangement would save considerable costs. Previously, VIP tours often required a combination of flights and helicopters, increasing cost and travel time. “With Airbus H160, the main minister can fly directly to destinations throughout the state and reduce travel expenses by almost 70%,” the officials said.
“False reports of buying a new helicopter are an attempt to scratch the image of the government,” the clerk noted, warning that legal action could be taken against those who spread misinformation.
