
A group of ministers comprising Nadendla Manohar, Payyavula Keshav and Y. Satya Kumar during a meeting with unions and associations of government employees at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The Group of Ministers (GoM) comprising Payyavula Keshav (Finance), Nadendla Manohar (Civil Supplies) and Y. Satya Kumar (Health, Medical and Family Welfare) held a detailed discussion with unions and government employee associations on various outstanding issues at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The discussions mainly focused on the outstanding contributions of appreciation (DA) and other related matters, an official release said.
Addressing the employees, Mr. Keshav said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was considering the issues raised by the employees with a “positive and sympathetic” attitude and was treating the employees as an integral part of the administration and was doing his best to accommodate their demands as much as possible despite the restrictions.
Mr. Manohar mentioned that the Chief Minister held a marathon discussion with ministers and senior officials on October 16 on ways to resolve the problems of the employees and was looking into it with all seriousness to do them good.
Mr. Satya Kumar said that the Chief Minister was giving special attention to solving the problems of the employees.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand said that the government was taking steps to resolve the issues raised by the employees and that a joint advisory committee meeting had been held earlier, followed by the current meeting with the cabinet.
Special Principal Secretary (Services) SS Rawat Principal Secretary (Finance) Piyush Kumar Principal Secretary (PR & RD) Shashi Bhushan Kumar Managing Director APSRTC Ch. Dwarka Tirumala Rao, Secretary (IT) Katamneni Bhaskar, Finance Secretary Vinay Chand, Health Commissioner G. Veerapandian, Municipal Director G. Sampath Kumar and other senior officials were present.
The employees were represented by A. Vidyasagar (President AP Non-Public Servants Association), U. Manohar (General Secretary AP Secretariat Employees Association) and Bopparaju Venkateswarlu (President Revenue Services Association) among others.
