PMK president Anbumani on Thursday alleged that key announcements made by the DMK government, including the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS) and pay hike for guest lecturers, remain unimplemented.
In a post on social media, he said that although the state had announced that TAPS would take effect on January 1, it had not been implemented. Thousands of government employees have retired by the end of March, but the eligible beneficiaries are yet to receive their pension orders, he said.
He also alleged that the government had failed to implement its February 26 announcement that increased the salaries of guest lecturers from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, with no revised salaries being paid for February or March.
Calling the delay a “delusion”, he said voters would respond in the upcoming assembly elections.
