Anbumani Ramadoss has been released from hospital after undergoing elective knee surgery

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) President Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss underwent an elective knee procedure in Chennai on Sunday (October 18, 2026), officials said.

According to the medical bulletin, Dr. Ramadoss procedure at Chennai’s Apollo Hospital, Greams Road.

He was released from hospital on Sunday (October 18, 2026) and is doing well. Doctors have advised him to undergo physical therapy and adequate rest for the next two weeks, a PMK press release said.

“He is doing well today and is being released today,” the bulletin added.

In March of this year, Dr. Ramadoss elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu.
