President PMK Anbumani Ramadoss strongly condemned the filming of a young woman in front of the mother of two police officers in the Yendhal district of Tiruvannamei and condemned the government for violating law and order in Tamil Nadu.
In his statement Anbumani said that “police officers forcibly took both women to an isolated place and brutally sexually attacked a 19 -year -old girl in full view of her mother and then fled”.
“This incident is proof of how dangerous the environment has become under the DMK government. The police are responsible for protecting them all, including women. But if the police threatened and dragged both women from the truck and transferred an outsex attack, it shows how police power and law deteriorated.
He added: “Last year I warned that statistics showed that crimes against women and children increased by 54% after the DMK got to power and called on the state government to take measures to improve the situation.”
