The earmarked funds will also be used to upgrade the parking lot and other facilities to improve the overall experience for pilgrims visiting the temple.
Earlier in the day, around 5:00 PM, Ambani visited the Guruvayur Temple where he prayed to Lord Guruvayurappan and donated ₹3 million for the temple trust, the news agency said.

Anant Ambani’s commitment to animal care
Ambani’s efforts to support temple elephant welfare initiatives in Guruvayur are in line with his commitment to animal care and protection through Vantara, an animal rescue, care and rehabilitation initiative founded by the Reliance Foundation in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Anant Ambani emphasizes a “deep connection” with nature
Speaking on the occasion, Ambani told ANI that “India’s spiritual traditions are not just places of worship, they are living institutions that nurture faith, community, compassion and our deep connection with nature. It is our collective responsibility to preserve and strengthen this sacred heritage for future generations.”
He added: “Through these initiatives and through our work at Vantara, we strive to serve with humility, enhancing the experience of devotees while ensuring that the animals that are an integral part of our traditions are cared for with the utmost dignity, compassion and scientific attention.
