Anand Mahindra impressed by ‘raw beauty’ of Visakhapatnam beach, points out ‘interesting irony’ | Today’s news
Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra appeared on X on Sunday (October 25) to say how he was drawn to the “raw beauty” of Gangavaram beach near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
Anand Mahindra said it doesn’t look like a “conventional” beach and even shared an “interesting irony”. Here is what he said.
It is not a “conventional” beach
Anand Mahindra began his post on X by asking, “Why isn’t this one of the most talked about coastal landscapes in India?”
He introduced, “This is Gangavaram Beach near Visakhapatnam.” Mahindra even shared some pictures of the beach, which featured “swinging coconut trees” but “rocky cliffs towering”.
The images, he said, were taken by India Aesthetica.
“Not the conventional image of a tropical beach. No rows of swaying coconut palms or postcard scenery. Instead, towering rocky cliffs and rugged, almost prehistoric beauty,” Mahindra wrote on X on Sunday.
Captivated by the images and landscape of the Andhra Pradesh beach, Mahindra added, “Honestly, I find this kind of raw beauty even more impressive. It’s the kind of place that not only invites you to relax, but also to think.”
“Interesting Irony”
Anand Mahindra believed, “There is an interesting irony here…”
He said global tech giants are coming to Visakhapatnam “to build hyperscale data centers and AI infrastructure.”
“But judging by these photos, nature got into the hyperscaling business millions of years ago!” Mahindra wrote.
He said, “Vizag (Visakhapatnam) is clearly on track to become a major technology hub. But I suspect it also has the potential to become one of India’s most sought-after coastal leisure destinations.”
“It is clear that there is more than one kind of spectacular growth story happening in Vizag…,” said Anand Mahindra.
