Anagha KS, a student of Vagdevi School, Tirthahalli, who was the second topper in the SSLC examination securing 624/625, has become the state topper after revaluation.

Anagha, the daughter of Shivakumar and Mangala, both teachers, scored 100% in all subjects except social studies, where she scored 99. Convinced that she deserved full marks, she asked for a revaluation. The revised results arrived on Saturday (May 16, 2026), pushing her total to a perfect 625 and ranking her top in the state.

“I was a bit disappointed when I scored 99 in social studies. I asked for re-evaluation hoping it would improve. Finally my dream of becoming a state topper came true,” she said, thanking her teachers and parents for their support.

However, Anagha expressed a hint of regret. “Both myself and the school would have been happier if this recognition had come when the results were officially announced last month,” she said.
