What shows a viral video?
In a viral video, the officer can see, as McNeil had been dragged for not wearing his seat belt or having headlights in bad weather, which a 22 -year -old man calmly answered, “It’s daylight, I don’t need lights.”
McNeil, however, refused to leave the vehicle and asked to talk to the officer’s head before he locked the door.
After warning him to get out of the car for about three minutes, the officer told his colleague that he was going to break the window. Another officer replied, “Okay, go for it.
In his arrest report, the policeman wrote that he called for backup after McNeil rejected the requests for demonstration of a driving license, registration and proof of insurance.
“The suspect reached for the floor plate of the vehicle, where a big knife was sitting,” said officer Bowers.
In the viral video, however, McNeil’s hands are up and visible when the police unlock the seat belt to pull it out of the car.
It is not clear whether his seat belt was fastened at the time the police dragged him.
