Indigo flight, which flew from Guwahati to Chennai, had to recently had an emergency landing at the KEVEGOWDA International Airport in Bengalur, the sources of airlines said.
The Indigo spokesman said the airline called “Mayday” before landing in Bengalur because “the fuel” ran out.
“The incident occurred 19th. June. The flight was supposed to be planned to Chennai at about 19:45, but due to the bad weather in Chennai it could not land it. The pilot decided to avert the flight to Bengalur, but realized they ran out of fuel.
According to Indig, the flight finally landed safely in Bengalur around 19:20 June 19.
