The Institute of Social Pediatrics (ISP) in government Stanley Hospital organized an event that has extended awareness of timely detection of autism spectrum disorder and its treatment. 2 April is observed every year as a day of awareness of autism. A total of 325 children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and high -risk features for ASD, which are registered in the district early intervention center, have undergone various therapies over the last 2 years. So far, 5,785 meetings have been made, the hospital authorities said.
“Children with autism benefit from treatment of treatment of their communication skills, specialized sensory integration therapy for sensory problems and ergotherapy for fine motor skills.
Parents shared their experience. Doctors in the hospital repeated that identification of the situation within two years and permanently providing intervention would result in a constant improvement.
Higher hospital officials also participated in the event.
