
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Thiruvananthapuram and Kerala Police jointly organized a financial awareness program on safe banking habits for senior citizens here on Wednesday.
S. Sateesh Bino, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ernakulam Range, launched a program titled “Common Awareness for Protecting Pensioners from Cyber Threats and Settlement of Accounts”.
Juvvanapudi Mahesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police; Thomas Mathew, Regional Director for Kerala and Lakshadweep, RBI, Thiruvananthapuram; and Mohammed Sajid PK, Director General, RBI, Thiruvananthapuram, attended, according to the release.
The program covered the modus operandi of various cyber frauds, prevention strategies, safe banking practices and grievance redressal mechanisms available in banks, the release said.
