MLA for Virajpet AS Ponnanna, who is also legal advisor to the chief minister, submitted a memorandum to transport minister Ramalinga Reddy on various issues, including a plea to grant district permits to all autorickshaws plying in Kodagu district.
Mr. Ponnanna, who met Mr. Reddy in Bengaluru on Wednesday, was also accompanied by officials from the Kodagu District Auto Owners’ and Drivers’ Association.
During the meeting, Mr. Ponnanna highlighted the various traffic problems in Virajpet constituency while seeking to set up an Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) in Virajpet taluk and a vehicle inspection camp in Ponnampet.
