An adult family member can appear on behalf of the elector in response to the SIR notice

Now adult family members can appear before the election authorities on behalf of the voter in response to notices received under Special Intensive Review (SIR) in Telangana. Chief Electoral Officer-Telangana, C. Sudarshan Reddy on Thursday said that an adult family member of the concerned voter can personally appear before the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant ERO to resolve the already issued notices to submit necessary documents and information. The Director General directed officials to receive the documents and take necessary action. Instructions for this have been given to the election authorities at the district level.
