A 28-year-old private employee sustained serious injuries after a car hit his two-wheeler in an accident at Champapet on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
The victim has been identified as Deverashetty Sunil, a resident of Sai Ram Colony in Saidabad. According to the Saidabad police, the victim was driving home at Green Park Colony on Champapet Main Road around 12.30 pm when an unidentified car hit his motorcycle from behind and fled from the spot without stopping.
Sunil sustained serious injuries in the impact and fell unconscious on the spot. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital where his condition is critical.
Police have registered a hit-and-run case and said they are trying to trace the vehicle involved. CCTV footage from surrounding areas is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
