The American creator Kristen Fischer, who often shares views of her life in India, has recently published a video of list things that she loves and doesn’t like life in the country.
In the now viral video, Fischer wrote: “As a stranger living in India, I am not ashamed to admit that no place is perfect. I love India, but by no means is perfect. It certainly has shortcomings and aspects I do not like.”
She also acknowledged that the United States had their own set of problems. “Wherever we go and our task is to learn to see good in everything, no matter what. I believe we have the power to create our own happiness, no matter where we are,” she added.
Kristen then introduced things she likes and doesn’t like life in India:
- I miss my family
- I prefer Indian food
- I like to be a minority
- I hate pollution in Delhi
- India is a better place for children
- I think to be vegetarian is better
- India is a more modest country
- I hate garbage on the streets
- Food is healthier here
- Hospitality in India is better
- Local agriculture is better
She closed a video with reflective news: “Is it a choice. You decide to focus on negative or decide to see positive? Do we believe that this outlook significantly affects our joy and satisfaction in life.”
The video received over 1.48 Lakh views on Instagram and raised a flood of comments.
One user wrote: “Such an inspiring post. I have been concentrating on negative for some time, but your post and words motivated me to look at positive. Really, you are amazing. A lot of love.”
Another commented: “I admire your sincerity. You are absolutely right, no place is perfect. If we can comfortably adapt, it is enough.”
The third user added: “We love you as a foreigner, but as someone who has become an integral part of our country. Despite all challenges, we welcome you as a family. We send love to you and your beautiful children.”
