In a significant boost to biomedical innovation in Andhra Pradesh, Ipseity Diagnostics and Research, an American molecular diagnostics company, has entered into a scientific collaboration with the Vignan Foundation for Science, Technology and Research. The partnership aims to bring transcriptomics, low-cost PCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies to the state, a major step toward strengthening advanced molecular research capabilities.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged in the presence of Chairman Lavu Rathaiah, Vice-Chancellor P. Nagabhushan and Adviser M. Malakondaiah at the university campus here on Friday (December 12, 2025). CEO Dr. Sandeep Nadendla and CMO Dr. Kalyan Chakravarthy K. representing Ipseity Diagnostics signed a contract with prof. PMV Rao and Prof. By Vijay Ramu Dirisala of Vignan’s Foundation.
According to the institutions, the collaboration is expected to accelerate efforts to bring molecular science “from the table to the bedside” and offer new diagnostic solutions for patients suffering from sepsis, uncontrolled drug-resistant infections and other critical illnesses. The research initiative is also aimed at developing indigenous, affordable technologies tailored to the needs of the Indian healthcare system.
Dr. Kalyan Chakravarthy said the partnership positions Andhra Pradesh as an emerging center for cutting-edge biomedical research and can benefit millions of patients through faster, more accurate and cost-effective diagnostic tools.
