
Chandigarh’s administration will come out on Saturday’s order to conclude shops until 19:00, after India-Pakistan agreed on a ceasefire in the middle of the ongoing tension between the two nations.
On Friday, May 9, the district administration ordered all shops and restaurants in the city to close as a preventive measure by 19:00. However, the order has now been downloaded.
“With regard to the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, the previous application for voluntary closure of shops and other facilities is withdrawn. All stores and devices are now allowed to function as usual,” said Chandigarh District Administration in Post X.
India and Pakistan agreed to the ceasefire and stopped all military operations across soil, air and sea.
The CEOs of military operations in India and Pakistan agreed that from 17:00 they would prevent all shooting and military action in the ground, air and sea, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri announced.
The short announcement came shortly after US President Donald Trump said India and Pakistan agreed to “complete and immediate” ceasefire after the US -mediated interviews.
The main Minister Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah welcomed the ceasefire and said it was better late than never.
“I welcome from the depth of my heart a notification of the Indian government to restore the ceasefire between India and Pakistan,” Abdullah told reporters in his residence.
“Better late than never, but let this ceasefire come two or three days earlier, perhaps the bloodshed we saw, and the rare lives we lost would be safe,” he added.
Meanwhile, when India and Pakistan agreed to an immediate ceasefire, Congress was looking for a meeting of the Prime Minister Narendry Modi to take self -esteem for political parties.
The opposition party also demanded that the government call a special meeting of parliament to discuss the events of the last 18 days.
The General Secretary of the In-Bowling Communication Jairam Ramesh said in the paper X: “With regard to the unprecedented announcement from Washington DC, it is now needed, more than ever, because the Prime Minister chaired the meeting of all parties and believed in political parties.”
