The National Committee for Planned Tribes asked the CHHhattisgarh government to assign the land for agriculture and housing, as well as employment and health coverage, to the planned tribes families that had to escape from the state around 2005, at that time at the time of the conflict between Maoist forces and security personnel.
NCST said: “Without such a strategy, no person will be willing to return to the state,” and at the same time call on the Ministries of the Interior and the Union’s tribal affairs to “create a reserved policy/plan for migrated persons from Chhattisgarh to other countries”. The panel quoted the BRU resettlement plan as an example.
The panel recommended the CHHhattisgarh government to include in its plans to bring back the displaced families. He said, “The prescribed amount of land (at least 5 hectares), employment for living, housing PMay, community certificate and rations can be secured according to feasibility.” It continued that “minimal development infrastructure” such as elementary schools, medical centers, Anganwadi centers, electricity and water, should be provided in their housing.
The ncst Has Been Hearing and Representation from Valasu Adhivasula Samiksula, an Association Representing Some of the Displaced Tribal Families Currently Based in Telangana, Since 2022. In the Process, The Commission Has Asked Each Neighbouring and Chhattisgarh Address the ISSUES OF THE DISPLACED FAMILIES, and CALLED FOR DETAILED SURVEYS TO BE CONDUCTED TO ESTIMATE HOW MANY SUCH FAMILIES EISS AND IN WHICH STATES CURRENTLY RESIDE.
NCST also asked the Union government to formulate a reserved policy for these displaced families several times in solving this representation.
In the letter of 23 September, the main secretaries of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Maharashtra and ministers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Union and the Ministry of the Union and the Ministry of the tribal affairs took place at the meeting at the beginning of this month. He called for action reports of all participants in about a month in these recommendations, said a higher NCST official Hindu.
At this meeting held on 8 September, the Commission asked the CHHhattisgarh government to explore the 2018 BRU relocation plan to create a similar system for the displaced tribal families either dealing with their fears where they have now settled and also determine their rehabilitation of their home districts.
NCST also noted that state governments should use the provisions of the Act on Forest Rights Act to help displaced families anywhere where they were now if they wish. NCST officials said the question of families displaced from Chhattisgarh has been a long -waiting problem and added that they often find themselves in conflict with local forest departments.
One official said that most of the displaced tribes settled in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh of Chhattisgarh. However, although the survey reports at the district level of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have shown that there were 3,335 such families in their states, an independent report on the petitioner’s association indicated that the number of displaced families was approaching 9 651.
The Commission, which took a report on the petitioner’s survey, demanded that this report be sent to the governments of Telangany and Andr Pradesh, as well as the association to prepare similar reports that represent displaced families that could move to Maharashtra or Odisha.
