Minister of Agriculture and Marketing and Chief Minister of the District Dr. BR Ambedkar Konaseema K. Atchannaidu has directed officials to prepare to handle a large gathering of devotees from across the state during the annual celestial wedding at the Sri Lakshmi Narasima Swamy Temple at Antarvedi in Dr. District. The ceremony will be held on January 28, and the carriage parade is scheduled for the following day. On January 30, thousands of devotees take a holy dip at the confluence of the Godavari River with the Bay of Bengal near the temple. At least 1,350 police officers will be deployed for the four-day ceremony.
