All services of Tamil Nadu Housing Board will be moved online
All Tamil Nadu Housing Board services, including sales of unsold flats and plots across the state, will be taken completely online, Housing and Urban Development Minister P. Rajkumar said on Wednesday.
At a review meeting on the housing board’s functioning and schemes held at its headquarters, the minister said that bringing these services online would ensure quick, transparent and hassle-free public access. He added that new land development, joint ventures and commercial complexes will be made available to the public quickly.
He reviewed completed housing projects, land and flats for sale, sale deeds to be issued to tenants, new plans for the year, rental housing, income status, administration, new land acquisitions and budget allocations.
He asked officials to focus on own housing scheme for government employees, redevelopment of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board tenements through housing council and improvement of satellite town projects in Thirumazhisai, Uchapatti – Thoppur in Madurai and Mullur in Pudukottai.
Housing and Urban Development Secretary R. Kirlosh Kumar and Housing Board Executive Director S. Prabhakar were present in the meeting.
