Alexander Zverev said he is considering therapy because he has been fighting mentally lately. On Tuesday 1 July Zverev came from Wimbledon 2025 After he has lost in an exciting five setter for Arthur Rinderknech France.
Rinderknech lasted four hours and 40 minutes before won the match 7-6 (3), 6-7 (8), 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-4 at the Central Court. This year, in the Grand Slams Zverev, the final of the Australian Open for Jannika Sinner lost, after which Novak Djokovic defeated him in the French open neighborhoods.
“Sometimes I feel very alone there. I fight mentally. I said from the Australian open. Yeah, I just don’t know. I try to find ways to get out of this hole. I still find myself in it. I just feel very, very very alone and very lonely … It feels not very nice.
“Maybe for the first time in my life, I will probably need it (therapy). I have gone through many difficulties in my life. I never felt it so empty before. I just missed joy, I just missed the joy of everything I do,” Zverev said.
“Just missing joy”
It was also the first time Zverev crashed in the first round of Major from Wimbledon 2019. Although the best three best period was included, Zverev still has to win Grand Slam in 38 attempts.
“It’s not necessarily about tennis. Just missing joy outside tennis.
Zverev looked indifferent in the match, because he could not convert any of his nine chances to a turning point.
Zverev’s loss of his French rival meant that 13 out of 32 men could not walk into the second round.
