The Government Hospital in Alnavar and Annigeri Taluks of Dharwad District will be upgraded as 30 inpatient hospitals and transferred to community health centers, said Minister of Health Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Gundu Rao chaired the review meeting of the Belagavi Division in Dharwad on Tuesday and stated that the government had taken steps to upgrade 10 inpatient hospitals in nine talluks for 30 bed hospitals and Alnavar and Annigeri.
The work on the upgrade will begin in November, he said.
The Minister stressed that the ministry is working transparently for the health of the community, he said that for the first time more than 5,000 doctors and employees of the department were transferred through counseling.
Gundu Rao said that steps were taken to expand the PUJKUMAR HRIDAYAIoti system to all taluk hospitals in the state. He explained that there was no increase in the number of deaths as a result of heart attacks.
Referring to a higher degree of mother mortality in the districts of Dharwad and Belagavi, he asked officials to start steps to reduce it.
“In the first quarter of this year, 17 deaths per mother were reported in the Dharwad district and 15 in the Belagavi district. During childbirth and postnatal care for mothers, caution should be provided.
He also explained that there was no immediate proposal to move the Dharwad civil hospital to another location, while the necessary funds have already been provided for medical equipment and for hospital repairs.
The Minister of Health said that steps were taken to recruit doctors and the announcement will be issued during the year, calling on applications for 2,000 functions of doctors and MBBS specialists.
This part, unoccupied contributions in all government hospitals will be fulfilled next month, he added.
