Al-Falah University in Haryana’s Faridabad district, which is under the scanner of Delhi’s Red Fort blast and “white-collar terror module”, expressed anguish over the “unfortunate development”.
In a lengthy statement issued on Wednesday, the university said two of its doctors have been detained by investigating agencies in connection with the terror pod case and the Delhi blast.
The university clarified: “We want to make it clear that the university has no association with the individuals listed other than when they are working with the university in their official capacity.”
It said: “We are deeply saddened and saddened by the unfortunate developments that have taken place and we condemn the same. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the innocent people affected by these distressing events.”
University refutes ‘misleading’ stories
In a statement, the university also took note of “baseless and misleading stories” being spread by online platforms, “with the clear intention of damaging the reputation and goodwill of the university”.
“We strongly condemn and categorically reject all such false and defamatory allegations,” Al-Falah University said.
He added, “This is to clarify that no such chemical or material as claimed by some platforms is used, stored or handled in the university premises.”
Al-Falah University said that the university laboratories are used solely and exclusively for the academic and training requirements of MBBS students and other authorized courses.
“All laboratory activity is conducted in strict compliance with established safety protocols, legal standards and ethical standards mandated by regulatory authorities,” the statement said.
“We want to make it loud and clear”
In a statement, the university said: “We also want to make it loud and clear that as a responsible institution we stand in solidarity with the nation and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the unity, peace and security of our country.
The statement added that the university is extending its full cooperation to the investigating authorities concerned “to enable them to arrive at a logical, fair and cogent decision on a matter of national security”.
“Our students continue to be sincerely engaged in the pursuit of education and it is imperative that every effort be made to ensure that their education continues in an atmosphere of peace, normalcy and academic discipline on campus,” the statement said.

Al-Falah University in Haryana’s Faridabad district has come under the scanner following the arrest of three doctors in connection with a “white-collar terror module” and a high-intensity blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.
On Monday night, a high-intensity blast tore through an explosives-laden car near Red Fort Metro station in Delhi, killing 13 people and injuring several others.
Pulwama-based doctor Mohammad Umar Nabi, who was suspected to be behind the wheels of the Hyundai i20, was an assistant professor at Al-Falah University.
Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, who was among those arrested, was a teacher at Al-Falah University.
