The Minister of the Union for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Andhr Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Thursday performed Bhumi Puja for the 94 GBP-Crore Akhanda Godavari on the shores of Godavari in Rajamahendraram.
In the framework of special assistance funded by the government financed by the States for Capital Investment (Sasci), the state government would renovate the 125 -year -old Havelock bridge with multiple tourist attractions, except for the development of Dowleswaam, Kadiyam, Kovvur, Nidadavol and the surrounding areas as the main tourist destinations.
Mr. Shekhawat and Mr. Pawan Kalyan walked around the exhibition of photographs on projects designed as part of the Akhand Godavari initiative.
Shekhawat, who was engaged in the Havelock bridge, said: “The Godavari Godavari Development project will become an iconic tourist destination in India.
“The Akhanda Godavari project is the most ambitious of the seven 450 Crore projects that have been sanctioned by Andhra Pradesh over the last year,” said Mr. Shekhawat.
He also stated that pedestrians should be allowed to walk 1.2 km on the bridge where an interpretation center would appear to show regional culture and legacy of Godavari. He noted that at least 20 scraping of tourists can be expected on the Havelock and Stan City on its island.
Mr. Shekhawat said that an experiential center for experience with a kindergarten in Kadiyam in Kadiyam would include exhibitions of flowers, live demonstrations and offered regional cuisine Godavari.

At his address Mr. Pawan Kalyan said that the decades have wanted to renovate the abandoned Havelock bridge, which was filled with the Akhanda Godavari project. He recalled that Rajamahendramin is a country where Nannaya’s adicavi was born, and civilization was beneficial to the river.
The State Minister for Tourism and Culture Kandula Durgesh and Deputy D. Purandesware referred to Mr. Shekhawat to sanction the branch of the National School of Drama.
