Representative of the Chief Minister Maharashtra and the leader of the Nationalist Party of Congress (NCP) Ajit Pawar on Wednesday (April 2, 2025) urged the party workers to maintain a clean image and distance themselves from the criminal elements. When he addressed young NCP activists in Beed, he emphasized the importance of development and warned against an association with illegal networks.

Mr. Parwar, who also serves as the Minister of the Guardians of the District, issued a strict warning against criminal activities in the region, in particular the collection of ash near the thermal power plants and illegal sandstones and land cartels.
“Keep your image clean and stay away from the antisocial elements,” he said, emphasizing the need for thorough checks in the background before getting new members to the party.
Push on the development of Beed
Pawar recognizes the development challenges facing the Beed and the wider region of Marathwad, emphasized the slow progress of the district, although Maharashtra has identified 62 years of statehood 1 May.
“While other parts of the state have progressed, even the disposal of waste remains a challenge,” he said, calling for a focused effort to encourage the region and prevent the divisions based on castles.
Mr. Pawar’s visit comes to the resignation of Dhananjay Munde as the Minister of Cabinet and NCP leader last month. The departure of Mr. Munde followed the arrest of his close stop of Walmik Karad in blackmailing with the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh last year.
Mr. Munde, Mla of Parli, was significantly absent from Mr. Pawar’s orders in Beed. Later on the social media, he explained that he was in Mumbai for medical treatment.
80% social work, 20% policy
In a report to the party workers, Mr. Pawar recommended them to focus on “80% of social work and 20% policy” and urgently urgently on the prospective approach.
“It is not better not in the past. We have to move forward with the idea of a new beginning,” he said before he went to a meeting of the District Planning Committee in the Collector’s Office.
When NCP tries to rebuild their image in Beed, Mr. Pawar’s visit signals pressure to restore public trust in growing fears of a crime and stop development in the region.
