The existing Ajay Singh was re -elected by the president of the Indian Federation of Boxing (BFI) on Thursday for a third consecutive term after his comprehensive victory over Jaslal Pradhan in long -term surveys.
The elections, postponed more than six months in the middle of legal guessing, were carried out in the presence of the returning officer Rajesh Tandon and the BFI interim Committee of Fairuz Mohammed of Singapore, who was sent by the world box as his observer.
The president of the world boxing Boris van der Vorst and the Secretary General Mike McATee, who were originally ready to be observers, learned of the elections.
The Sports Ministry and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) also did not send any observers.
Singh, who is also the CEO of Spicejet Airlines, won the 40-26 competition. It will be joined by the new Secretary General Pramod Kumar of Uttar Pradesh, who will replace the Assam Hemanto Kalit.
Kalita was not eligible for the competition after two consecutive four -year functional conditions were filed as a holder of the office and must now undergo a compulsory cooling period.
Pon Baskaran Tamil Nada was elected a treasurer.
However, the results continue to be subject to the final result of the ongoing case at the High Court in Delhi, where several state units questioned constitutional changes established by the interim commission, which supervised the daily BFI affairs.
The elections were originally planned for 28 March, but were repeatedly stopped because of a number of petitions, appeal and countermeasures.
