As part of the nationwide introduction of its detection of fraud with artificial intelligence (AI), Airtel has blocked over 1,80,000 malicious links and secured more than 3 million users throughout the country.
Automatically enabled for all Airtel Mobile and Broadband customers, Advanced System Scans and Filters links to SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, E-mail and other browsers. It uses news with real -time threats and examines more than 1 billion URLs daily and blocks access to harmful places for less than 100 milliseconds, Airtel said in a press release.
For example, if the Salem resident receives a suspicious message that reads: “Your package is delayed. Follow it here: and if an unsuspecting resident clicks on the link, the Airtel system also clicks on the device. Airtel considered this website dangerous!”
Tarun Virmani, CEO-Tamil over and Keral, Bharti Airtel, said that at a time when digital threats became more advanced and widespread, strong and reliable secure mobile networks were needed than ever.
Based on the event, Sandeep Mittal, the next CEO, Cyber Crime Wing, he said: “We are pleased that the Airtel team has informed us and offered a comprehensive overview of their fraud detection initiative and describes their goals and operational methodology in detail.”
