A week after the Air India’s aircraft crash, the Tata Group has issued a list of flight routes that have been suspended or will operate with a reduced frequency of up to 15 July.
“Further to the press release published yesterday, June 18, 2025, which announced a temporary reduction in the services operated by the Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft, we want to provide details of the years in question,” Air India said.
On Wednesday, Air India said it would temporarily reduce flights with a wide body by 15 percent.
This came after the carrier was seen how he was struggling with disruptions on several routes due to the higher turnover of his Boeing 787 and the Boeing 777 aircraft after the deadly accident Ahmedabad, which killed at least 270.
“These reductions will be effective from June 21, 2025 and will last at least 15 July 2025,” Air India said on Thursday.

Why does Air India reduce and suspend its flights?
Air India said the route reduction is caused by a “voluntary decision” to carry out security checks before the flight. Air India, after the DGCA command, began to carry out security checks on its Boeing Dreamliner Fleet fleet – its aircraft participated in the aircraft crash.
“The reduction arises from the decision to voluntarily make increased security checks before the flight and also adapt the further duration of the flight resulting from the closure of the Airspace in the Middle East,” Air India said.
The carrier again apologized to the passengers affected by these shortening.
The airline said it would actively contact the affected passengers to offer re -accommodation for alternative years, free of charge or full compensation according to their preference.
