A few days after the final ceremonies, Patiola joined the Flight Ail India AI-171 and expected to return to her daughters aged four and eight years. Unfortunately, the flight crashed shortly after takeoff on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Dreamliner Boeing 787-8, bearing 242 people, crashed in the Ahmedabad Meghani Nagar area near the international airport Sardar Vallabhai Patel around 13:40.
In the contribution on the Social Media Platform X Air India wrote: “The plane crashed shortly after take -off. We regret to inform about 242 on board, there are 241 confirmed deaths. The only survivor is in the hospital.”
The airline further reported: “Passengers consisted of 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese nationals, and 1 Canadian national.
The story of the patio is one of several heartbreaking accounts that appeared after the tragic aircraft crash. Among the few shared stories was one of the pratika Joshi, his wife Kaumi Vyas, who shared a smiling selfie with his three young children on the flight Air India AI-171, just minutes before take-off, she also reported.
Kaumi has worked as a doctor in Pacific Hospital in Udaipur. She shared a photo on the social media of the family on board the plane, and the couple smiled as their three children sat behind them and faced a camera.
Joshi lived in London for six years. His wife Kaumi resigned only two days before the trip to join her family abroad.
