A ceremony was held at Air Force Station Begumpet on Saturday to mark the completion of the 109th Advanced Navigation Course, 141st Ab-initio Navigation Course and Weapon Systems II Courses. and III. The event was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Sanjeev Kumar Taliyan, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence).
The graduating batch of the 109th Advanced Navigation Course included seven officers, among them two from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Coast Guard and one from the Royal Malaysian Air Force. They will now take up instructional roles in their respective services. The 141st ab-initio navigation course consisted of five Indian Air Force flight cadets and one Sri Lankan Air Force officer.
The air cadets will be commissioned as officers of the Indian Air Force at a combined graduation parade to be held at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal on December 13.
For seven decades, the Navigation Training School has trained air cadets to become proficient navigators and provided advanced instructional techniques to airmen from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and several partner countries. The Weapons Systems School plays a key role in bringing all weapon systems operators into a single specialized framework that offers modern training designed to produce officers capable of meeting the evolving operational needs of the armed forces.
