AIPL Season 1 will begin in Visakhapatnam on October 2

The first season of the Andhra Influencer Premier League (AIPL), a three-day box-cricket tournament aimed at bringing regional social media creators together, will begin at the SS Sports Arena in Madhurawada on October 2, said MD Ramesh Kumar, chief advocate and director of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP).

Organized by SS Sports Arena in collaboration with RRR Motor & Sports Association, the tournament will last until October 4. Eight teams will compete in two pools.

Pool A features Srikakulam Kings, Vizag Titans, Vizag Super Kings and Anakapalli Avengers while Pool B has Vizag Tigers, FF Warriors, Sikkolu Strikers and Vizianagaram Firestorms, according to the organizers.

The first prize carries ₹1,000 cash and a trophy, while the second prize carries ₹50,000 and a trophy.

Organizers said the league is being held for the first time in Andhra Pradesh with Visakhapatnam as its hub and aims to provide a platform for regional social media creators to come together through sports.
