All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) hinting that the party is gearing up for the municipal elections, has invited candidates who want to contest in the upcoming municipal elections.
According to an official statement, the party said that those interested in the contest are required to apply through a mandated process. Applications are available for download on the party’s official Facebook page. They should be submitted, duly filled in, along with a non-refundable draft of ₹3,000 drawn in favor of the party.
Those interested were invited to submit the forms to the president of their respective districts. The deadline for submission is January 20.
The mayors of the cities have been asked to collect the filled-in applications and submit them to the AIMIM headquarters in Darussalam, Hyderabad. The party has made it clear that names of candidates should not be announced at the district or city level. Party president and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi will decide on the final list of candidates.
