The All India (AIFF) Football Federation convened a special meeting of the much body to accept the constitution and other changes in accordance with the Supreme Court’s decision.
The World Football Government body FIFA set a deadline for AIFF on October 30 to accept the new constitution.
“SGM was required for a special agenda. It was only to accept the Constitution and there is no other agenda,” said PTI’s highest official AIFF on Sunday.
SGM will take place in the capital of the National City, where it is located AIFF.
The Supreme Court 19 September approved the proposal of the AFF Constitution prepared by the former judge of the Top Court La Nagesware Rao with certain modifications and ordered a football body to accept it on a major body within four weeks.
The proposal of the Constitution, which was prepared by the justice Rao for the instructions of the Supreme Court, proposed some radical changes, including a person holding an office for a maximum period of 12 years during their lives, subject to a maximum of two consecutive conditions for four years.
While it was said that after eight years the cooling of four years as an office bearer of a sports body had to be observed, the proposal said that a person could not remain a member of the sports body after reaching 70 years.
According to the constitutional proposal, the AFF Executive Committee would have 14 members who would be under the age and a restriction of tenure.
He added that there would be one president, two vice -presidents (man and woman), one treasurer and 10 other members.
Of the other 10 members, there would be five important players, including two women.
The constitutional proposal also has the provisions of the removal of the holders of the Office, including the President, through a proposal for trust that the current constitution does not have.
