All India Democratic Womens’ Association (AIDWA) General Secretary Mariam Dhawale on Saturday (January 25, 2026) launched a photo exhibition at Sundarayya Vigyan Kendram highlighting the historical and continuous struggles of women from the armed peasant struggle of Telangana to the contemporary battles for land, dignity and liberation.
Organized by AIDWA, the exhibition is in preparation for the 14th AIDWA National Congress scheduled to be held at Bus Bhavan Grounds, Hyderabad from January 25 to 28. Through rare photographs and visual narratives, the exhibition traces women’s resistance from iconic figures such as Chakali Ailamma and Mallu Swarajyam to the contemporary women’s movement.
AIDWA Treasurer S. Punyavathy and Sudha S. inaugurated the Art Exhibition Hall AND the Armed Struggle Gallery. The program was attended by several national and state leaders including AIDWA National President PK Sreemathi, State President R. Aruna Jyoti, General Secretary Mallu Lakshmi among others.
