The organization of democratic students of All India (AidSO) expressed sadness and outrage over the collapse of the building of the government school in Rajasthan, resulting in the death of 7 children.
“It is not a natural disaster. Instead, it is an artificial tragedy created for negligence and irresponsibility to public education. It is a well -known fact that thousands of government school buildings across the country are in dilapidated state.
“The attempt to move guilty to victims, teachers and school authorities-outrage. The root of this crisis is a serious lack of infrastructure financing in government schools.
AIDSO demanded an immediate and impartial court investigation of the collapse of the school building in Rajasthan and called for strict punishment to those who were considered responsible. All dangerous government school buildings across the country must be urgently checked and repaired and financing education, especially to improve infrastructure in government schools, must be significantly increased, demanded.
While demanding the download of NEP 2020, AIDSO was looking for democratic, scientific and pro-human educational policies.
Governments must take responsibility for the school’s security and infrastructure, he added.
We invite all students, teachers, parents and citizens across the country to unify and fight this negligence to save and strengthen public education, said the statement from Nithin, the District Secretary of Aidso, Mysur.
