The decision of the Karnatak Government to increase fees for engineering and architectural courses has come into strong criticism.
Government charges in private failed universities increased by 7.5%and fees at government universities were increased by 5%. “We strongly condemn the increase in fees,” said the District Committee of Mysuru for AIDSO in its statement.
“Increasing fees have become a common matter for the Congress Government. The government has increased fees at a time when farmers, workers and people are facing financial problems throughout the state,” the statement said.
The AIDSO Mysore District Committee demanded that the state government immediately withdraw its “anti-state” and cancel the decision to increase fees.
