
Deputy Commissioner Chamarajanagar Shilpa Nag described on Thursday as part of Yuvajanothsava 2025, which was led as part of Yuvajanothsava 2025.
The event entitled The Red Ribbon Run, was jointly organized by Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, District Legal Services, Chamarajanagar University, District Health and Family Social Department, District Preventive and Control Unit, District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Police Department and other departments and organizations.
According to the authorities, the Red Ribbon Run was running as part of the IEC 2025 campaign, which is a focused initiative to prevent HIV/AIDS.
Mrs. Nag at the event emphasized the importance of public awareness of HIV/AIDS and urged the public to avoid discrimination against those who affected it. “They deserve the same respect and opportunities as anyone else. HIV/AIDS is not transmitted by speaking or shaking hands. Citizens correspond to them with dignity,” she added.
The deputy of the Commissioner urged the youth to play an active role in the spread of awareness of the disease, and stated that this must be a constant effort concerning all parts of society and was not only a responsibility of government authorities.
