Former revenue minister and AIADMK leader RB Udhaya Kumar on Saturday (May 9, 2026) expressed hope for positive developments regarding his party.
After meeting former law minister CV Shanmugam at his residence in Chennai, Mr Kumar told reporters: “Be patient.”
He was asked by reporters about the meeting Mr. Shanmugam had with his followers and supporters.
A large number of MLAs from the party reportedly attended. There were reports that the former law minister was at loggerheads with party general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami over issues such as access to the incoming Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government and the possibility of any alliance with the arch-rival, DMK.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Palaniswami met all the legislators and party leaders.
