AIADMK betrayed the inhabitants of Tamil by succumbing to pressure and aligning with BJP, despite previous rejection, on Monday, alleged state secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) R. Mutharasan.
In an interview with media persons in Nagapattinam, Mr. Mutharasan said that the leader Aiadmk Edappadi K. Palaniswami once said that there would be no alliance or relationship with the BJP. “Now, not only admitted the alliance, but he prevented her to face everything he would come. He turned his back to the people of Tamil,” he said.
Mr. Mutharasan said that even the cadres and supporters of AIADMK hesitated to accept the Alliance and claimed that the party’s decision was powered by the fear of recovering the Directorate (ED) and not by political or ideological condemnation.
Mr. Mutharasan commented on the recent discussion concerning Minister K. Ponmudy and said he was looking for forgiveness after realizing that the mistake was part of Tamil culture and must be respected.
