The AAIB report on the Aviation India’s accident reveals a tormenting sequence of events that developed in 90 seconds after take -off, where one of the pilots noticed that the fuel was unexpectedly interrupted on both engines.
In its statement, Air India stated that she was working with AAIB during her investigation.

Air India Flying Crash: AAIB Message
The 15 -page AAIB report on the Air India accident reveals the bone cooling account of what happened in 90 seconds after take -off, and both engines closed unexpectedly during the initial climb.
A dramatic conversation between killed pilots was also revealed, one of which noticed that the fuel was interrupted. The second pilot says he did not start such an event.
“Why did you cut off?” to which was the answer: “No.”
Flight data renewed from an improved air flight (EAFR) revealed that fuel switches for both engines were unintentionally moved from running to restrictions, one by one at 1 second interval, at an altitude only after tow.
This set off launched the deployment of RAM (rat) and the plane began to lose altitude almost immediately, unable to maintain a driven flight.
According to AAIB pilots, the fuel switches were re -connected in an effort to re -modify both engines. Motor 1 showed signs of draft regeneration, but the engine 2 failed to stabilize.
The final emergency call – “Mayday” – was transmitted at 08:09 UTC, just seconds before the plane crashed into residential buildings outside the airport.
The final report is expected in the coming months.
