The kabaddi competitions organized as part of the Sankranti festivities were launched in Anantapur on Saturday by Jana Sena Party (JSP) president and Anantapur-Hindupur Urban Development Authority (AHUDA) chairman TC Varun.
JSP city secretaries Vallamsetti Ramana and Lal Swamy Rayal organized the competitions. Mr Varun was introduced to the captains and players of the 25 participating teams before the competitions began.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Varun said that the NDA government will give priority to sports and praised the JSP leaders for organizing the event. He said that the organizers will give a good prize to the winning team.
