
Ahmedabad plane crash of lonely survivor released from the hospital; participates in brother’s cremation in the diu

Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, the only surviving of the Aviation India, was released from the Ahmedabad hospital after his recovery and later attended the cremation of his late brother, who flew with him on the same aircraft, officials said on Wednesday (June 18, 2025).
Mr. Ramesh, a forty -year -old British entrepreneur from Leicester, was released on Tuesday evening, they said.

His brother Ajay’s mortal remains were handed over to his family in the early hours of Wednesday after the DNA test confirmed his identity, medical superintendent Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, told reporters. Rchessh Joshi.
“Vishwas’s family has already arrived here from the United Kingdom. After his recovery, we released Vishwas on Tuesday at 7:30 pm, and after the DNA match, his brother was also handed over,” he said.
Vishwas and Ajay, who were natives of Di, head back to London after spent some time with their family members in the Union.
Vishwas bears fraternal deadly remains
The video that emerged on the social media shows Mr. Ramesh, who carried the deadly remains of his brother on his shoulders on the cremation ground, the district of the Union of Dadra and Nagar Havel and Daman and Di.
Local officials confirmed that Ajay was cremated in his family on Wednesday morning and Mr. Ramesh was also here.
The day after the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Mr. Rameh in a civilian hospital and asked his health.
Fateful flight, miraculous escape
In an interview with Doordarshan, Mr. Ramesh said that the aircraft had stopped on its nine -hour journey to Gatwick London in seconds from Ahmedabad’s take -off.
According to Mr. Ramesh, his seat, 11a, was close to the emergency door on the left side of the plane.
“Fortunately, part of the plane where I was sitting on the ground floor on the hostel after the plane landing. When I saw the aircraft door was broken, I thought I could try to get out. I finally came out of the plane,” he told reporters.

In a viral video filmed by the locals immediately after the accident, Mr. Ramesh can see how he walks towards the ambulance after he injured himself in the accident.
